Strawberry Sauce

This sauce is great in smoothies, stirred into sparkling water or wine (such as prosecco), mixed into a vinaigrette, or used atop a dessert.

1 pound strawberries, hulled and finely chopped
1⁄4 cup honey
2 tablespoons cannaoil
1⁄2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (from 2 medium oranges)
2 teaspoons cornstarch Pinch of salt (kosher or sea)
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, honey, and cannaoil and heat over medium-low heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the orange juice with the cornstarch.
  3. Add the cornstarch mixture to the berries and stir until the sauce begins to thicken and coats the back of a spoon, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat. (The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.)
  4. Stir in the salt.
