Best Bong Cleaner Products 2024

Take the rips you deserve. Here's the best way to clean your bong without fancy solutions.

A clean bong is a happy bong. Not only that but a happy, healthy stoner. Dirty bongs can seriously impact your health, putting you at risk of various bacterial infections you could have avoided had your bong been clean.

In terms of flower flavor, a clean bong is always ideal. It’s not until you clean your bong for the first time that you truly appreciate the flavor of your favorite flower. That awful resinous taste severely masks the true flavors and aromas of your herb.

Giving your bong a quick clean here and there makes a world of difference in how it rips. But if you really want your weapon to shine, then it deserves a little more TLC than that. Bong cleaners like the BoroBuddy Magnetic Glass Cleaner eliminate the need for expensive bong-cleaning solutions with help from a cleaning kit you can use time and again.

As a proud owner of six beautiful bongs, I’m always looking for the next best way to keep them looking and acting brand new. A dirty device doesn’t exactly add a nice touch to a neat room and certainly can’t perform well.

You name it; I’ve tried it. From pricey cleaning solutions to homemade cleaners, I’ve tried them all. Nothing performs as well as the BoroBuddy Magnetic Glass Cleaner from SnowTree, a true genius innovation for bong users everywhere.

You may think your bong is clean, but sadly, that’s not the case. Unless you have a detachable bong that lets you scrub the interior, your glass bong is gradually building a biofilm, a thin layer of microorganisms that grows on a surface in a moist environment to produce a slimy film.

Even the most expensive bong cleaning solutions won’t entirely remove biofilm unless it’s scrubbed away mechanically. If you’ve never physically touched the inside of your bong, chances are, it’s slimy. That’s where the BoroBuddy Magnetic Glass Cleaner works its magic. Emphasis on magnetic.

This kit features one bar and one circle magnetic cleaner, reusable cleaning pads (depending on how dirty your glass is), and a handle for easy exterior maneuvering.

No fancy solutions are required. Here’s what comes inside your BoroBuddy Magnetic Glass Cleaner:

  • 1 BoroBuddy™ Handle (To scrub from the outside)
  • 1 Bar Magnetic Cleaner (This goes inside your glass)
  • 1 Circular Magnetic Cleaner (This goes inside your glass)
  • 10 BoroBuddy™ Bar Cleaning Pads (For your bar-shaped magnet)
  • 10 BoroBuddy™ Circular Cleaning Pads (For your circular magnet)
  • 1 Forcep. (Use this to remove dirty pad)
  • 20 BoroBuddy™ Cleaning Pads In Total
  • Free Stickers

Simply attach a cleaning pad to one of your magnets and drop it inside your glass. Take your BoroBuddy Handle and hold it near the magnet from the exterior. The handle will catch onto the magnet, letting you move it around any resin stains to scrub them away physically, which also ensures the removal of biofilms. Cleaning your bong has never been more satisfying.

The Best Homemade Bong Cleaner

Of course, if money’s tight or you’re the DIY type, then you can throw a few at-home ingredients together to clean your bong as thoroughly as you can with a store-bought solution. As mentioned above, the BoroBuddy Magnetic Glass Cleaner does not require any additional ingredients like isopropyl alcohol or other fancy solutions, so it will save you money in the long run.

If you still choose to use a homemade solution, here’s a brief step-by-step guide. Side note – this solution uses salt, which may be too abrasive for materials like ceramic. This homemade bong cleaning solution is designed for glass bongs.

Step 1: Gather isopropyl alcohol, salt, a small Ziplock bag, and two small (old) cloths you don’t mind getting dirty.

Step 2: If you have a downstem, pour 1/4 of a small Ziplock bag’s worth of iso alcohol into the baggy with a tablespoon or two of salt. Place your downstem in the bag and shake it around to remove stains.

Step 3: Pour a generous amount of isopropyl alcohol and salt into your bong, then plug the ends with your cloths. Shake the bong to remove stains while holding both plugs securely.

Step 4: Pour the DIY solution out of the bong and out of the baggy. Rinse your pieces with hot-to-warm water at first, slowly decreasing the temperature to cold.

Step 5: Fill your bong with water and take a clean, smooth hit.
