In what is a stroke of genius, Netflix has developed a collection of strains named after some of its most popular shows, including its new sitcom Disjointed. Unfortunately, it’s only available from the pop-up event at Alternative Herbal Health Services in West Hollywood, this weekend – that’s August 25 through August 27.
For those in Los Angeles that have qualifying medical conditions, Alternative Herbal Health Services have “The Netflix Collection,” has been tailored to suit 10 different viewing experiences on Netflix.
Each strain was cultivated with the specific shows in mind, designed to complement each title based on their tone. For example, sillier shows may be more indica dominant, while dramedies will be more sativa dominant to help the more powerful scenes resonate.
Three of the strains – The Omega Strain, Eve’s Bush, and Rutherford B. Haze – are inspired and named after Disjointed, the new sitcom that was developed by Chuck Lorre. Given the situation, which sees Kathy Bates starring as the owner of a cannabis dispensary, it makes perfect sense to release the collection with the launch of the new show.
The rest of the collection is made up of strains inspired by more of Netflix’s original content. For Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, it’s “a very chill indica” called Camp Firewood. For Bojack Horseman, it’s Prickly Muffin – “When you smoke this, it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day.”
There is also Banana Stand Kush, recommended for a “big yellow joint,” inspired by Arrested Development, Chelsea’s Vodkush, for the “advanced botanist,” and Peyotea 73, which is an “uplifting sativa hybrid,” inspired by Grace And Frankie.
For Lady Dynamite, there is Sassafrass OG, which is said to have “the power of one thousand pug snorts.” Then there is Baka Bile, to “really ramp up your appetite, inspired by Santa Clarita Diet. One favorite will definitely be Poussey Riot, perfect for “kicking it with somebody, talking, making mad stupid jokes,” inspired by Orange Is The New Black. Finally, Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return has its own strain, Moon 13, one that is not too strong, meaning you can “keep your sanity, no robot friends required.”
Remember, these exclusives are only available from Alternative Herbal Health Services, over this weekend.
