Our Full Review Of The Dr. Dabber Stella Vaporizer

Sleek and powerful, this is a perfect device for any fan of concentrates.

Stella is a vaporizer designed to bring out the best in every hit. Its coil is specifically designed to disperse heat properly, while still keeping the coils within an optimum temperature for vaping your concentrate.

With its vapor flavor as the main focus, Stella is a must-have for any beginner or expert who’s looking for a smooth and flavorful experience.

What Is The Dr. Dabber Stella Vaporizer?

Dr. Dabber has been in the vape game for some time now and with the latest release, we can see why. With unique releases such as the Switch, one of the few which uses conduction heating technology.

After much anticipation and speculation, they released their new flagship wax pen called Stella. The Stella, Latin for ‘star’, is a sleek little pen that is more than just your average vaporizer. The whole unit is a stainless steel solid construction.

Design, Features, & Battery Life

Cutting edge cyclone airflow that allows for optimal flavor without burning your concentrates and oils. From top to bottom, the mouthpiece is magnetic with a little silicone ring inside to keep the juices from spilling. It’s easy to remove so cleaning up is a breeze.

Stella’s hourglass-shaped tip fits comfortably on your lips, and it feels sturdier than some other mouthpieces. When you inhale from it, it has a good draw resistance. It also features a built-in airflow regulator that reduces splashing and makes it easier to control how much concentrate you vaporize.

Atomizer

After the mouthpiece, the middle is the atomizer with two small air slots on the side. The Stella features a floating coil that minimizes the contact points between the coil and the pen body.

This design reduces heat transfer and prevents the device from getting uncomfortable to hold. The coil has a large bowl size and is made out of wear-resistant Alumina Ceramic.

Battery

Stella has a battery with a 600 mAh capacity that can be charged using a USB-C cable. It contains TCR, which is a technology we’ve never seen in dab pens before. This feature allows the battery to adjust the voltage accordingly and draw-through technology that allows for vaping while charging.

Instead of having a constant stream of power to the coil, the battery adjusts to make sure that the coil stays at a precise temperature. This is a great feature because the atomizer won’t get too hot and ‘burn’ the extracts, preventing dry or burnt hits.

How To Use Dr. Dabber Stella

Once you’ve unboxed this little beauty, you’re going to want to read the manual. Yes, you have to read a tiny pamphlet to understand your device. It’s actually quite simple.

  1. Remove the mouthpiece.
  2. Dab the wax into the coil by using the dab tool.
  3. Place the mouthpiece back on.
  4. Click the Dr. Dabber logo five times to power on/off.
  5. Press it three times to change the voltage settings.
  6. (Optional) Press the power button 2 times to activate the preheat function.
  7. Press and hold the power button when you inhale from the mouthpiece.

You’ll notice there is haptic feedback when you turn it on and when changing the temperature. This part is actually pretty neat, not many, if any, vape pens of this size have that capability. The temperatures range from 550 – 775°F

  • Green – 550°F (288°C)
  • Cyan – 630°F (332°C)
  • Orange – 775°F (413°C)
  • Purple – 460°F (238°C) (optional preheat)

Pros & Cons

The thing I noticed in the mouthpiece is that during intense back-to-back sessions, it gets hot. Maybe including silicon protection on the tip can solve the issue, but it shouldn’t bother most casual users. The black stainless steel body of the Stella is strong and can hold up to whatever drops come it’s way.

Plus, the stainless steel body doesn’t hold onto fingerprints, keeping it sleek no matter the setting. Dr. Dabber Stella’s heating element and vaporization chamber are both alumnae, which are very durable and won’t wear down after heavy use.

Truly the only negative thing people have to say about this vape is that the mouthpiece does get a bit hot as the session goes on. Some might find the glass mouthpiece (sold separately) to be a good solution as it keeps the heat from traveling.

Takeaway

A pocket-sized vaporizer with longer battery life and a more sleek design, what more can you ask for? Fast charging and full flavor vape hits? You got it, babe. Stella is definitely a star on its own.

Stella is the next-generation vaporizer pen. The Stella features major improvements in almost every category and is expertly packed into a signature black stainless steel body. The Dr. Dabber Stella is the new standard for a premium vaporizer pen.
