You know what they say, a friend with weed is a friend indeed. But that’s so much more than just a saying; it’s a fact. As to the reasons why weed smokers are the best friends, well, the list goes on and on. Not only is the cannabis community packed with some of the most welcoming and kind-hearted people you’ll ever meet in your life, but they also get along with just about everyone, no matter what their story is and regardless if they smoke pot or not.
Are herbivores the only type of friends you need around? Of course not. We aren’t a cult. And we could care less if you pass on the sticky-icky. But we will always offer it to you anyways.
That’s because we genuinely care about those around us. We might not care if you like what we do, but we always keep others in mind. The last thing we want to do is give off bad vibes. If anything, we want to lift you up, just like our favorite herb does for us.
With that being said, if you ever need a homie to let loose with or just spill your guts out to, we’ve got your back. But that’s not even the half of what we have to offer. Here are 4 reasons why weed smokers are the best friends:
1. Weed smokers never judge
Of all the reasons why weed smokers are the best friends, perhaps the best is the fact that they don’t judge. Sure, we might throw someone a nasty look for slobbering too heavily on the blunt. And we might even raise an eyebrow while we listen to the goofy things newbs say when they’re stoned. But when it comes to the choices people make and their beliefs, as far as we’re concerned, that’s none of our business.
That doesn’t mean we don’t care, though. We just know that there’s a fine line between disagreeing and judging. After all, we are some of the most judged people around. And plenty of people disagree with what we do. So we know how it feels and that’s why we choose to not be about that life.
2. Weed smokers share
Sharing is caring. Sounds childish, but you’d be surprised how many grown adults still don’t understand the concept. Weed smokers do, though, and that’s one of the several reasons why weed smokers are the best friends.
If you’re having a bad day, or are dankrupt and need bud asap, we will gladly roll up a fatty and smoke you up. And if you’re hungry, well, we usually have plenty of snacks! Not to mention, we know all the best munchie spots in town.
Weed smokers also don’t mind sharing their time. Whether you want to vent about something or talk about complete nonsense, we’ll lend a listening ear. Although that doesn’t seem like much, time is valuable. And with some people, you’re lucky if they’re willing to give up even five minutes.
3. Weed smokers are loyal
Loyalty is a quality that not every friend has to offer. But for the most part, you can trust a weed smoker, and there’s proof.
About a year ago, My420Mate.com, an online dating site for people that smoke pot, sent out a survey to 25% of its 4,500 registered users. One of the questions that the users were asked to answer was if they’d return a lost wallet with a $100 bill to its owner. As for the results, you’ll be interested to know that 99.2% of respondents said they would give it back. Now that’s what you call being loyal.
4. Weed smokers are open-minded
Have you ever had the type of friend that refuses to branch out and try new things? If so, then you know how frustrating it can be to get along with them.
Don’t get me wrong; even weed smokers have their limits. But if you want to watch the latest movie that seems unbelievably lame, or hit up that new restaurant in the sketchiest part of town, we’ll give it a shot. Of course, we might have to smoke first for the motivation. And to ease the anxiety. But rarely will we ever pass up the opportunity to develop a new interest.
Herb spoke to an Internet-based weed dealer in Seattle that believes that cannabis omnibus bill, SB 5131 leaves a loophole that is free to exploit.
