Seedo is the first grow box that is government approved to grow medical grade cannabis.
Medical marijuana patients rejoice! This new grow box could change the lives of millions who struggle with severe pain and illness by allowing them to grow their own medicine and saving thousands in health care costs.
Seedo is one of the first grow boxes that is government approved to grow medical grade cannabis. It has been approved by the Ministry of Health in Israel, one of the leading countries for research in the cannabis field. Israeli scientists are at the forefront of cannabis research and Israel is home to one of the most well-known canna-chemists Raphael Mechoulam, who discovered marijuana’s main chemical component, THC. As a result, much of the cannabis culture in Israel revolves around research and its applications as a medicine. Mechoulam himself has never even tried cannabis and he’s been studying it for decades.
As a treatment, cannabis has helped patients with epilepsy, chemotherapy-related pain, neuropathic pain caused by a number of injuries and illnesses and much more. The emerging science on its effectiveness for treating these issues has even prompted governments around the world to expand access and the VA to change its policy. According to researchers from the University of California Berkeley and Kent State University, 93 percent of patients preferring medical cannabis to prescription opioids while the National Institutes of Health have found that over 25 million Americans suffer from chronic daily pain.
Seedo is perfect for these patients who suffer from limited mobility and severe pain because it’s system is totally automatic. In fact, the makers recommend that you totally leave it alone once you’ve planted the seed and set your growth plan. Predetermined grow plans are even provided by the company and are customized to the plant that you are growing whether it is tomatoes, alfalfa, or cannabis. You can also devise your own plan and control everything from your smartphone.
The free app which comes with Seedo allows you to monitor the plant’s growth with a built-in camera meaning that once you’ve shut the door you don’t open it again until it’s time to harvest. Seedo will even dry the buds for you, and the whole system is self-cleaning.
If you’re using it to grow marijuana for medical purposes, pesticide-free cannabis is ideal because a weakened immune system may be more susceptible to carcinogens found in pesticides.
In a six-year longitudinal study from the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, it was discovered that organically grown foods, onions, in this case, had 20 percent more antioxidants than those grown with pesticides.
Seedo is also no larger than a mini-fridge but is spacious enough to support five full plants. One to two plants at a time is recommended if you want to grow without any effort at all, at its capacity of five it will require some trimming.
Yields with a single plant are expected to be 1.5 to 2.5oz and up to 7oz for five plants. In the prime conditions provided by Seedo, growers can expect consistent yield without the use of pesticides, especially since the grow box provides the perfect amount of sunlight, CO2, and water at exactly the right times and doses. Seedo is also hermetically sealed to prevent contamination from the outside.
Seedo could also drastically reduce healthcare costs and totally transform accessibility for medical marijuana patients, some of whom are spending as much as $200 a month for the medicine they need.
Seedo is available now for pre-order and will ship by the end of March with a pre-order price starting at $1,400 making it as affordable as any kitchen appliance but with the potential to improve the lives of millions.
