According to a survey led by Wired Research and commissioned by Verano Holdings, a staggering 19 million American adults are swapping bubbly for buds. The survey of 961 Americans shows a significant change in attitudes and behaviors toward cannabis, suggesting a wider acceptance and integration into modern relationships.
Cannabis is quickly shedding its purely recreational tag. Around 23% of Americans acknowledge its benefits for sexual performance, marking cannabis as an emerging secret ingredient for spicing up romantic encounters.
CannaSexual sex coach Ashley Manta points out cannabis’s beneficial effects on romance and intimacy, particularly during the Valentine’s season. Dr. Shannon Chavez, a psychologist and sex therapist, further explains how cannabis can help couples relax, connect more deeply, and explore a dynamic approach to intimacy.
The study also highlights a notable trend: 67% of men are more inclined to incorporate cannabis into their romantic plans than women. Yet, it’s the overwhelming enthusiasm from 70% of Gen Z and Millennials that signifies a crucial shift in Valentine’s Day cannabis use, starkly contrasting with the 57% of Gen X and Boomers.
This eager acceptance among younger generations indicates a sweeping cultural movement toward normalizing cannabis, fundamentally transforming traditional views of romance and reshaping how love is celebrated in our society.
