How Long Does It Take For A Delta 8 Vape To Kick In?

Everything you need to know about vaping Delta 8 THC. Created with Eighty Six.

It’s understandable to have a few questions regarding the relatively new cannabinoid, Delta 8 THC.

Similar to Delta 9, D8 does produce a high, but one that’s far less impairing on the user, allowing them to take advantage of the cannabinoid’s many benefits throughout the day without feeling too high to function.

We partnered with Delta 8 vape masters at Eighty Six to create this guide with everything you should expect when vaping this cannabinoid.

Now that you’ve placed your order, let’s answer the question that’s been on your mind; how long does it take for a Delta 8 vape to kick in and how long does it last?

We want to start by saying that everyone is different, and how long a Delta 8 high lasts depends on your metabolic rate.

It’s easy to take a puff, not feel anything, then take three more puffs only to feel somewhat overwhelmed by the heavy effects of multiple draws.

For this reason, start slow and work your way up. Although vaping Delta 8 THC will hit you with effects faster than taking it orally, this doesn’t mean that this process is still “fast.”

That said, most users report feeling the effects 5 to 15 minutes after taking a puff. If this isn’t you, we encourage you to wait a couple of hours to see how your body reacts to Delta 8 and examine how long it takes for you to feel its effects.

Once you start to feel lifted, expect that high to linger for about 1 to 2 hours after a puff. It’s no secret that Delta 8’s effects last longer than Delta 9’s, but these effects are less intense, making it perfect for daytime use and helping you focus on your daily tasks.

Finally, it can take up to three hours for the effects of Delta 8 to kick in fully.

As surprising as it is, the cannabinoid is also known for its slow-release effects, meaning that wave of a high isn’t much a wave at all, more like a slow build-up to a maintained and functional high.

If, by chance, you puffed on a little too much, don’t fear, as the cannabinoid is far more therapeutic than you might think.

Simply recollect your thoughts, take some deep breaths, and stay hydrated.
