DGK x GRAV Bubble Up Collection: A Review

Skateboarding and cannabis culture collide in this summer's hottest collaboration.

Let us take you back in time. It’s a long day of skating in the middle of July, and all you’re worried about is having enough change for a slushie. Get ready for a nostalgia trip because DGK and GRAV are back at it again with their second, highly-anticipated collaboration.

The Bubble Up Collection, launched on July 15, is a limited edition lineup bringing the heat to an already scorching summer. But this isn’t just any old collab. We’re talking about two brands that have been pushing boundaries in their fields for over two decades.

DGK, the Southern California skateboard giant, and GRAV, the Austin-based glass experts, have joined forces to create a collection that’s as functional as it is fly. Without further ado, let’s dive into the second official collaboration between these two legends.

The Bubble Up Collection

In GRAV’s words, this collaboration is “A limited edition tribute to skateparks and parking lots.” It’s the intersection of skate culture, cannabis, and sipping from a sweet slushie on a hot summer day.

The star of the show? The ‘coolest’ bong around—the DGK x GRAV Slush Cup Bubbler. Priced at $162.49, this piece features a bright red wrap-around decal reminiscent of nostalgic 90s designs.

Although its design is playful, GRAV didn’t mess around when it comes to functionality. With a thick 14mm straw to prevent splashback, a reinforced cross-cut downstem for optimal smoke diffusion, and a recessed Dewar-seal joint maximizing internal volume, it’s one of the most innovative bubblers on the market. And yes, it’ll fit in your cup holder.

More From DGK x GRAV

For fellow skaters out there, “Enjoy that frosty drip” of the DGK x GRAV Bubble Up Pro Deck Skateboard ($75). This is one of the freshest decks I’ve ever seen—coming complete with vibrant graphics inspired by bubble-themed art, also featuring DGK-sponsored skater Will Mazzari. His mere presence on the deck might help take your skills from good to great.

And then, we’ve got the DGK x GRAV Bubble Up T-shirt ($34) featuring the colorful Slush Cup design. Equally as fresh as the deck itself, this t-shirt is guaranteed to turn heads with its eye-catching designs and sleek look.

Stevie Williams, founder of DGK, put it like this, “When DGK comes together with a partner like GRAV, it makes it easy to push the boundary between performance and fun.” And isn’t that what skateboarding and cannabis are all about?

Red Rodriguez from GRAV echoes this, hoping the collection gives you a “brain freeze”—in the best way possible.

Whether you’re a skater, a smoker, or just someone who appreciates a good design, the DGK x GRAV Bubble Up Collection is turning up the heat this summer. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a sudden craving for a slushie…
