What Is Lucid Dreaming?

Lucid dreaming can be one of the most euphoric and stimulating experiences imaginable. In simple terms, lucid dreaming occurs when you’re aware that you’re dreaming during sleep. Many aren’t entirely aware that there are specific ways to enhance your lucid dreams, and unsurprisingly, cannabis is one of them.

You can do several things to prepare for a night of lucid dreaming, which is basically living an active and healthy lifestyle. These practices include:

  • Following a sleep schedule.
  • Exercising daily.
  • Avoid electronics before bed.
  • Creating a blissful and relaxing sleep environment.
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol before bed.

  • Finger Palm Test: Push your fingers against your opposite palm. If they pass through your hand, you’re dreaming.
  • Mirrors: In a dream, your reflection will be distorted or will reflect a different-looking person.
  • Nose Pinch: If you pinch your nose and can still breathe, you’re dreaming.
  • Reading: Look away from a text, then look back at it. If the text changes and looks different, you’re dreaming.
  • Tattoos: If you have tattoos, but they look different than normal, you’re dreaming.
